About us

An Iraqi engineering company. We have been designing and building from Karbala since 1988.

Who we are

Alquds Land Co was founded in Karbala in 1988. Since then we have completed more than 50 projects for the two holy shrines and for private clients.

Our work at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine includes the maintenance and gilding of its two minarets and the roofing of its courtyard. We also carried out the expansion of the Al-Abbas and Imam Hussain shrines and built their underground halls.

We take a project from design through construction: we prepare architectural and structural drawings; build residential buildings, hospitals, schools and vehicle maintenance centres; and maintain old and heritage structures, including those exposed to high groundwater levels.

Our team is made up of specialist engineers and technicians, and on every project we work to international standards and keep our commitments on quality, time and cost.

Milestones

  1. The company is founded in Karbala.

  2. Our first project with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine: the development and rehabilitation of the eastern wing, which we completed in under a year. It was followed by the rehabilitation of the iwans, the maintenance and gilding of the two minarets, and the roofing of the courtyard.

  3. Our first project with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine: the expansion of the sanctuary (Al-Ha'ir) in 10 sections, each with an underground hall, a ground floor and a first floor. It was followed by the expansion of the shrine's outer gates and the construction of 4 underground halls inside the shrine.
